Location: York
Job Type: Permanent, 2-5 days per week
Salary: £14.50–£15 per UDA (depending on experience)
Private Split: 50%
Lab Fees: 50%

Are you a motivated Associate Dentist looking for a supportive practice where you can continue to build confidence, develop your clinical skills, and grow your private income?

We are working with a well-established independent mixed practice in York to recruit an Associate Dentist. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior dentist or someone earlier in their career who wants a stable NHS list, hands-on clinical support, and real scope to progress into private treatments in a well-equipped, affluent area.

You will be joining a friendly, experienced team with a genuine open-door culture, where support is available from the Principal and senior clinicians whenever needed.

What this role offers
  • £14 - £15 per UDA, depending on experience
  • Negotiable UDA target
  • 50/50 private split
  • 50/50 lab fees
  • Strong private earning potential in an affluent area
  • Historically, the right clinician has achieved around £12,000 private income per month alongside approximately 4,000 UDAs per year
  • Inherited list available
  • 2-5 days per week 
You will be supported by a Principal/Owner with an implant focus, alongside senior clinicians who are approachable, experienced, and happy to help.

Clinical support and development There is excellent scope to develop in:
  • General dentistry
  • Restorative and cosmetic treatments
  • Invisalign-style orthodontics
  • Endodontics
  • Future implant pathway support
This is a great move for a dentist who wants to strengthen their core skills while gradually expanding into higher-value private work.

Practice facilities This is a modernised, well-regarded local practice with a strong reputation for patient care and comfort.

On site you will have access to:
  • Multiple intraoral scanners
  • CEREC in-house
  • Digital X-rays in every surgery
  • Rotary endodontics
  • Exact SOE
  • Refurbished surgeries
  • Belmont chairs
You will also be working alongside a large multidisciplinary team, including:
  • Full-time Hygienist/Therapist
  • Treatment Coordinator
  • Experienced dental nurses
  • Supportive clinicians and leadership team
Candidate requirements
  • GDC registered Dentist
  • NHS Performer Number
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
  • Keen to learn and develop clinically
  • Committed to delivering high-quality patient care
